On AT&T you turn on conditional call forwarding with short codes dialed from your phone. Your phone rings first, and only calls you miss go to your TextbackFast number.

Codes
AT&T manages forwarding from the phone itself (AT&T support). Replace 5551234567 with your 10-digit TextbackFast number and dial each code like a call:
| When | Turn on | Turn off |
|---|---|---|
| No answer | *61*5551234567# | ##61# |
| Busy | *67*5551234567# | ##67# |
| Unreachable (off or no signal) | *62*5551234567# | ##62# |
Google lists the same AT&T codes (Google Voice help).
